Hey Dustin, you haven't been in Moscow for long, have you? Moscows nightlife is much different, although you won't let into a lot of New York's bars with a BDU or combat boots as well.
That's Moscow. People dress up here, if they go out. Even if its an after work beer on Monday. You play by their rules or you are left to a few places (try the Silvers pub, if you care for a beer and a burger). If you want to join the local crowd and have some fun in none expat watering holes with sub-urban girls looking for a sponsor, you better dress up a little. BTW: Papas is the No 3 on my list of Moscow's worst bars/clubs. No offence. I am sure a lot of you hang out there. I come for a drink as well once in a while, especially for Latin Tuesdays, but there are so many better places. Here is the rest of my list of worst clubs and bars in Moscow, if you care: 1. Paris Life (yes yes, I know, always good to pick up a sub-urban Milf) 2. Karma Bar 3. Papas 4. Che Don't even get my started on Boar House (it changed its name, no?). That is not even worth rating it, since it's a pickup place for not so good looking (who cares at 5 AM in the morning and a lot of drinks) hobby prostitutes. Yes, I tried to go for a beer and burger on a weekday night at 8 PM, but its not much different. Have fun.
