George,

6-yrs-old... sure there's no waranty no parts in official shops, even if
these were here in town. I would rather go to Savelovskiy, some far kiosk in
the mall along the railway. They have finished modernisation recently, I
can't tell you the exact kiosk No but sure they will do the job.

Subject: Expat List Need Reputable Toshiba repair shop in Moscow for
ailingAC adapter

Hello Expats,

I need help with a 6 year old reliable Toshiba A-55 Satellite laptop with an
intermittent AC adapter problem.

It looks like either the fixed-cable from the AC-DC transformer has a broken
contact or the power plug in the laptop has a loose connection.

I also need to replace the battery since it poops-out in half the official
time it should last.

Does anyone have a Toshiba shop they like that they can refer me to?

Thanks in advance,
George Dole
