I've been trying to reach Robin Hessman for some time now.
She has posted a message recently about American Film Fest.
Robin, if you read this, please write back to me at [email protected]

Hi Listers,
We are giving away a cable converter box for Cosmos cable. If you're
interested, drop me a note and we'll leave it with the concierge for
pick-up. First to reply "wins".

Best,

Amy

Hello Expats,

I need help with a 6 year old reliable Toshiba A-55 Satellite laptop with an
intermittent AC adapter problem.

It looks like either the fixed-cable from the AC-DC transformer has a broken
contact or the power plug in the laptop has a loose connection.

I also need to replace the battery since it poops-out in half the official
time it should last.

Does anyone have a Toshiba shop they like that they can refer me to?
 Thanks in advance,
George Dole

Hi there,

Hoping you might be able to put the following in the next Expat Digest

"Hi there. A work colleague of mine found an abandoned kitten and is unable
to keep it because she already has one cat. I unfortunately can't either
offer a home, but wondered if there is anybody in Moscow who can? It's
exceedingly cute, about 6 weeks old, black, with big blue eyes. please email
me at [email protected] if you can assist. Thanks, Cassandra"

Thank you kindly!

Cassandra Newbold

Dear Moscow friends,

I wanted to send out a special announcement about the Fourth Annual
American Film Festival of Moscow, which will be taking place this week!

October 7-14th at the Formula Kino Evropa cinema on the 3rd floor in
the Evropeisky Shopping Center by Kievsky.

The festival features recent releases, indie films, incredible
documentaries, and some Moscow Premieres.
Among them are truly incredible independent films that you will never
get another chance to see in Moscow.

Here is a link to the festival website where you can see all the
trailers of the films and find the schedule.

I hope you'll pay special attention to our unique documentary program,
four diverse and incredible films that are some of the best examples
of independent non-fiction filmmaking today. All of the directors of
the films will be present in Moscow!

The films include-

Roman Polanski: Wanted and Desired
