Geoff,

There is a private animal shelter organization which places homeless cats
and dogs with new families. The website of the shelter is
www.moscowanimals.org . The director is Barbara Spier. Her email is
[email protected]. If anyone else knows of any other animal shelters
in Moscow please post them as a "For Your Info" factoid.
After our "remont" is finished we will be looking at this shelter and others
to adopt at least one and possibly two cats. Although I love dogs too our
apartment is too small to accomodate one and we both work so walking a dog
is problematic.

I got this info from a free Passports magazine but Expat said they would
not put-up any article that advertised any competitor.

Regards,
George Dole
