I would not risk with registration anyway. We are registered with FMS to
issue invites for business visas for our partners and we have had regular
checks of documentation during the last year, including checks of the
registration address. It may take some time to link FSB and FMS databases,
and this will happen eventually. Btw, big hotels do registration
electronically already and this take minutes. But, penalties may be heavy
even for the inviting company, tens and hundreds of thousands of rubles, so
I insist that my partners do get registered. Anyway the phrase to do the
registration is mandatory in our visa invite application and we all have to
obey ;)

I doubt if that will be a problem either. I have been getting invitaions
from the same place and not bothering to register for two years. No problems
at all.

There may be problems after - registration information is loaded in the FMS
database... the inviting company may have problems with registration for
invites and the visitor may have problems with next visa.

They are 100% unable to see if you registered you visa when you leave
through airport immigration. There is no stamp in the passport any longer,
just a slip of paper that technically you return to the registration office
when you decide to leave. Forget it, don't
worry._______________________________________________
