Emin,

Notify the authorities? Why would I ever do that?

Am not the morals police, thank you.

One can express puzzlement at silly (felony for possible $200 profit)
relatively high risk (customs, enforcement, confiscation, failure of buyer to
show), low reward (aforementioned $200), unethical (smuggling) conduct without
feeling a compulsion to tattle.

Incidentally, I absolutely agree that there is a world of difference between
bringing one (iPhone, iPad) from overseas for folks you know and as a
"straight" business transaction for strangers.

It is interisting what the "misconduct threshhold" for folks is. It may be a
silly law. It may be a law that is cheerfully flouted by the entire central
apparat of Edinstvo with their iPads. But it's law and there is some sense to
it, as most jurisdictions probably want to collect customs duties and/or ensure
that unlicensed electrical equipment is not sold in their country. It's a bit
like giving someone $5 to eat expired ketchup. Would you for $5? For $10?
For $200?

So, while it amuses me, couldn't actually care less if folks smuggle iPhones in
their underwear or not.

Incidentally, in U.S., not available online, $595 w/o a contract for the base
model iPhone4.
