Charles,

Re DHL, FedEx, UPS, & TNT:

DHL is fast but not inexpensive. They closed all their USA operations a few
months after the initial Crisis of Sept 2008. I don't know if they
resumed USA service yet.

FedEx has only one "Sending Office" within a 5 minute walk from Metro
Kropotkinskaya. Their "Receiving Office" is not convenient to get to. They
use a local courier agent. They mangled my one-page FBI report I needed for
a local residency application. Needless to say I am very wary about using
them again. Never had a prob with FedEx in the USA though.

The UPS office is almost as fast as DHL from the USA and is about half the
cost.

No experience yet with TNT for Europe or USA.

My experience is in shipping books and documents; not alcoholic and
medicine items.

Hope this helps.

Cheers,
George Dole

Any opinions on the service for delivery from Europe or US for these
companies (for documents, books or small parcels like wines or medicines)?
