John, Just did a restaurant check on the Expat list and found this short list of possible Turkey-day venues.
Starlite Diner, TGIF, Goodman Steak, American Bar & Grill, Beverly Hills Diner, Louisiana Steakhouse, and Uncle Sam's. If I didn't have an engagement already I would risk trying Uncle Sam's and Louisiana Steakhouse. All the above and others listed have phone numbers to call. Just say "Mojnah, Angleesky Indyehka obehd, Tahm?" My h's are for a Berlitz rendition of the Russian since there is no unvoiced "h" in Russian. Anyone, not only us Yanks, can have a Thanksgiving festive meal and be thankful for the good things that happened and the bad things that did not during the last year. Heck, the pilgrims in 1622 were only the immediate families and non Christian native Indians (who are genetically related to Siberian Eskimos). So Yanks and Russians have been sharing Thanksgiving since the first one in 1622. That's nearly 400 years ago. Our own Thanksgiving get-together tonight will be a mix of Yanks, Brits and Russians. Hope this helps. Cheers to all. George Dole *********************************************************************************************** Dear all, Either it's too early for the usual suspects to start advertising their Thanksgiving dinner offerings, or nobody's doing it this year. Anyone have any leads on who has what going on? thanks, John ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ *Цитата:* "Удача происходит, когда подготовка соответствует возможности". - Сенека *Quote: *"Luck occurs when preparation meets opportunity". - Lucius Annaeus Seneca - Roman philosopher from mid-1st century AD.
