I'm using Mandrake 5.3 and a Soundblaster 16 pnp. The card works, but emits a buzz that can be eliminated by using the kde sound module and lowereing the volume. Is there a way to set the volume at startup since it is annoying when I work at the shell prompt? How about the default start sound level in KDE? Hoyt
