I finally got around to installing a RAID-based system here. I installed the basest of base packages, created the raid partitions, and started the raid. No problems there. My problem comes in actual use. I had expected that read performance of the system would be much higher than a single partition. However, I'm actually seeing lower performance. The raid partitions are hda4 and hdb1, 3G each. RAID-0 created with the raidtools package. Any suggestions?? -- Steve Philp [EMAIL PROTECTED]
