Hello there,

I apologise if this issue has already been raised recently on this list,
but I've just joined, and I couldn't find this subject in a quick look
at the archive. I also tried the newsgroup with this but didn't get any
'nibbles'.

I'm thinking of standardising several Linux machines on a lan by
installing Mandrake 6.0 on them.

I realise I'll have to start from scratch with the one Slackware
machine, but I was wondering, since Mandrake says it is 99.9% RedHat
compatible, whether I can upgrade the RedHat machines directly to
Mandrake 6.0? A couple of the machines in question are running RedHat
5.2, and at least one is running RedHat 6.0.

Does anyone out there know of any particular problems I might strike, or
any particular issues I should be wary of, in attemtpting to upgrade
Mandrake 6.0 over these RedHat 5.2 and 6.0 machines??

Thanks in advance for any replies.

Regards,
Stephen Gava.
