I updated glibc (as Gael advised me), the kernel packages and utempter.
Made some backups...
Reboot:
/etc/rc.d/rc.sysinit:line 272: 53 Broken pipe initlog -c "fsck -T -R -A
-a $fsckoptions
/etc/rc.d/rc.sysinit:line 3: 56 segmentation fault initlog -n $0 -s "$1"
-e2
dropped to a root shell.
Ctrl-D
lots of error messages and finally hangs at:
touch: /etc/resolv.conf:
Read-only file system
Cold reboot:
Root filesystem FUBAR.
I am now back on 5.3.
