not that i know of.  the rotation of the logs keeps them from getting
"bloated".  you can set in your /etc/logrotate.conf file how many weeks to
keep and if you want the logs compressed or not.  but answer your
question: no, you cannot (to my knowledge) limit the size of a log file.
