I'm running Linux-Mandrake 6.0, and I need to install a new version of libstdc++ for licq. So, I try: [root@localhost download]# rpm -U libstdc++-2.95.1_2.10.0-3.i386.rpm error: failed dependencies: libstdc++.so.2.9 is needed by aktion-0.3.3-2mdk libstdc++.so.2.9 is needed by fvwm2-2.2.1-6mdk libstdc++.so.2.9 is needed by guavac-1.2-5mdk libstdc++.so.2.9 is needed by qt-1.44-10mdk libstdc++.so.2.9 is needed by kdelibs-1.1.1final-8mdk libstdc++.so.2.9 is needed by kcmlaptop-0.82-1mdk libstdc++.so.2.9 is needed by kdeadmin-1.1.1final-5mdk ... and so on ... That obviously failed! Apparently I need to have two versions simultaneously. Uhhh... that sounds pretty bad. Is there a way to get the latest libstdc++ to work with all those programs that depend on it? _______________________________________________________________________ Andy Goth [EMAIL PROTECTED] zap.to/andygoth/ UIN: 35256413 <-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-> "Due to circumstances beyond your control, you are the master of your fate and the captain of your soul." -- `fortune` on Linux
