A crushing concern, no doubt - but is the "Pipes" GL screensaver somehow
broken? My machine showed it in the little preview window, but when I
clicked on the setup bar it "blinked" and was gone. Trying to Test produced
another blink. All other GL screensavers work fine.
Sorry - I've no idea where to look for an error, but there was nothing
unusual on the console. Point me to a log and I'll happily comb it for
info. I will also apologize if this has been addressed in the archives.
Also - I tried to run Gnome/Enlightenment - but it seemed like little was
functional beyond getting into the environment or getting a term session.
I've no doubts I need to set up perms / auths somewhere, but I'm something
of the X newbie - any pointers to docs or man pages appreciated. I'm just
surprised that KDE is working so well and Gnome seemed to be, for the most
part, crippled. The only thing that Enlightenment has over KDE (IMHO) is
the "transparent" term screen - anyone know of any plans for KDE to have
such an option?
