[expert] X11 problem

Hello all,

I am having problem getting my X server started, this is the error message I
am getting.

_FontTransSocketUNIXConnect: Can`t connect : errno = 111
Failed to set default font path `/usr/X11R6/lib/X11/fonts/misc/
:unscaled,unix/:-1`
Fatal server error:
Could not open default font `fixed`

Can anyone point me in the right direction to fixing it.
