I would like one effect I have noted concerning the shimmering effect will running KDE or any other gui. (refer to post entitled "X problems") I have found if I do a Ctrl-alt-F2 and then Ctrl-alt-F7 back this clears the problem for 10-30 seconds , then it reappears. Michael Cates
