1) I noticed that after installing Mandrake 7.0, the block size for my
two largest partitions is 4K. Is there any way to change this to 1K,
like my other partitions? I'm sure I'll have to reinstall, but since I
just started using Mandrake I don't have that much to back up.

2) When I was using RedHat 6.1 and kppp for dialing up my ISP, I would
always get an error saying the kernel didn't support ppp, click OK, and
then kppp would go ahead and work. From what I could glean from
deja.com, there was a security hole in an earlier version of the linux
kernel which kppp used to determine if there was ppp support compiled
in. This hole was plugged in the kernel which RedHat 6.1 uses, thus the
error message. How did Mandrake fix this so kppp works without
``unplugging'' the security hole in the kernel (if it did really have
one).

Thanks for any help with this.
