Apparently Xconfigurator will use a different interface depending on
where you start it. From X it runs with the X libs, without X it
probably uses the ncurses lib to make a nice display sort of like
linuxconf, ntsysv, and some others that I have run in and out of the X
environment. One way to find out is to go look at the source code if you
are interested.
