I have also used a Linksys Ethernet/Modem PCMCIA card under Linux (and
this was back when I was running RedHat 5.2 or so) so they seem
to have had their cards working under the OS for somet time. It worked
very nicely for me, since my laptop had a winmodem, and I needed to
kill 2 birds with one stone ;)
