it's working !! :)
i really donno what happened, bet after mounting another disk on hdb,
hda just came back to it's senses
and lilo work's (!) just fine.... :)
i donno, maybe the prob. was with the bios def's and not lilo..
anyway - 10x 4 all the reply, you have been SO HELPFUL !! :)
