Need advice how to reenable HW acceleration on my Comapq with mdk71
and a Voodo Banshee card.
What do you propose to install:

or should I use tdfx_dri, tdfx_drm, Glide_V3-3.10-6 from 3dfx??
Do I have to manually insmod the module 3dfx.o?
Is Mesa in 7.1 (3.1-14) compiled for HW support. If not do I have to
recompile it?
Before 7.1 XFree86-3.3.x was distributed without problems for my 3dfx
cards( banshee and voodoo2). Now with 7.1 XFree86-4.0 is mixed with
3.3.x servers. All this is confusing. Any FAQ's or links with help?
(Have tried different alternatives for games, such as Q3, HG2, Heretic2,
with warious success. Another issue is whether to use Glide option or go
for GL and 4.0.x when installing the games!!)
