MAybe you should tell us how you were trying to do this, ie if you were
doing it from the commandline, give us the arguments you used. You might
also want to try a graphical tool for this. kruiser (ak a KDE Explorer
?) works mostly like Windows explorer in this regard, and
LinNeighborhood is also quite good for this.

kruiser comes with LM, LinNeighborhood can be found on rpmfind.net.
