Having problems configuring the above on an old Pentium machine. Following advice posted elsewhere on the web, have tried compiling the sound and Soundscape drivers as modules but get unresolved symbol errors when I try to insmod. Have also compiled the driver into the kernel & have even installed the ssinit utility from Ensoniq. The kernel seems to recognise the driver (see output from /dev/sndstat below) but any attempt to cat an .au file to /dev/dsp returns a "no such device" error.
