Hmmm ... I have VMware 2.0.3 running fine in 7.2, with sound
working fine too (using a SoundBlaster Live! value) for an NT
guest OS. I'm using XFree86 4.0.1 too and even my Intellimouse
now works in VMware! (after I installed the silly Intellimouse
driver that came with the mouse within the NT guest OS).

The major problem I've had with VMware is it's ability to
properly display PDF files in Acrobat reader. They show
up as completely black. When I open a file in gvim, and
edit it, the editing goes fine, until I do a :w command,
at which point, the gvim window also becomes black. This must
have something to do with XFree 4.0.1, since this behavior
definitely didn't happen with XFree 3.3.x.

One minor problem I've had is that the serial port within
the NT guest OS only seems to communicate reliably at 9600
baud.

Oh, I almost forgot, I have had a couple of programs crash
VMware hard: Synopsys Design Compiler (during install),
and Microchip's MPLAB (also during install).
