Use cardctl and cardmgr to get it recognize your card (on a friend's > laptop the PCMCIA eth card was recognized as a memory one !). The first one works and gives me the right info. The second one simply does nothing. No error messages 8-? Here's a sample of the /var/log/messages file (after putting the card in): Initializing socket 0 socket 0: PCMCIA Cardbus Ethernet 10/100 (R5)... it's ok executing: 'modprobe cb_enabler' executing: 'modprobe realtek_cb'... both are ok as well /lib/.... kernel module version mismatch (was compiled for 2.2.12 and this kernel is version 2.2.17) /lib/... insmod realtek_cb failed... I need to compile the realtek_cb.c file... but i've put it in /usr/src/linux/pcmcia-cs/clients/ (following the howto instructions) and run make all and make install but i don't get any .o file 8-? Could you help me in that work? Merci!! 8-) -- Joan Tur. Ibiza - Spain [EMAIL PROTECTED] [EMAIL PROTECTED] ICQ 11407395 Joan.Tur.pagina.de Club.Ibosim.pagina.de Linux: usuari registrat 190.783
