I am connecting my Linux Mandrake 7.1 server (2.2.17 kernel) to a Windoze NT PPTP Server. My PPTP connection works fine from Windoze 98 SE (sigh!), however, I get repeatable failures from my Linux Connection. Here's one type of failure: warn[decaps_gre:pptp_gre.c:239]: discarding out-of-order warn[decaps_gre:pptp_gre.c:239]: discarding out-of-order warn[decaps_gre:pptp_gre.c:239]: discarding out-of-order warn[decaps_gre:pptp_gre.c:239]: discarding out-of-order warn[decaps_gre:pptp_gre.c:239]: discarding out-of-order warn[decaps_gre:pptp_gre.c:239]: discarding out-of-order (unknown)[1054]: log[pptp_dispatch_ctrl_packet:pptp_ctrl.c:671]: Call closed (NTFY) (call id 0) (unknown)[1054]: log[pptp_conn_close:pptp_ctrl.c:275]: Closing PPTP connection The other type of failure is this: [root@mail /root]# (unknown)[1542]: log[pptp_dispatch_ctrl_packet:pptp_ctrl.c:671]: Call closed (NTFY) (call id 0) (unknown)[1542]: log[pptp_conn_close:pptp_ctrl.c:275]: Closing PPTP connection As I said, the initial connection is fine. it appears to give the top command a problem overnight, especially with TOP running from the remote end. If we can figure this out, then I'll ask my question regarding why X windows won't display back through the tunnel itself. (Yes, I have already checked the DISPLAY Variable). I am wondering if Mandrakesoft applied all of the Masq Patches, because when I attempt it, only one fragment appears to be able to locate any code for the patch to be applied. Here are my ipchains settings: [root@mail /root]# ipchains -L Chain input (policy ACCEPT): target prot opt source destination ports DENY all ------ anywhere 10.0.0.0/8 n/a Chain forward (policy DENY): target prot opt source destination ports ACCEPT tcp ------ anywhere 198.30.140.7 any -> pptp MASQ all ------ mail.abs-comptech.com 10.0.0.0/8 n/a ACCEPT tcp ------ 198.30.140.7 anywhere pptp -> any ACCEPT 47 ------ anywhere 198.30.140.7 n/a ACCEPT 47 ------ 198.30.140.7 anywhere n/a MASQ all ------ anywhere anywhere n/a Chain output (policy ACCEPT): I am using the following RPMs: pptp-client-1.0.2-4mdk ppp-2.4.0-3mdk Thanks in advance for your help!
