Thanx....excellent...this was good info.....isn't really documented (i 
think)...did browse around on deja/usenet, mandrakeuser.org, and 
linuxdoc.org..but didn'find this info....cool...got gears running again. 

btw...the banshee only accelerates 24/32 biit color ...well..atleast that's 
the way it was in windows...think this is h/w specific with it so it's 
probabely same in linux.  also, i don't think it will accelerate in windowed 
mode...needs to be full-screen...so...i apperantly i have acceleration only 
on application or 2d enviroment with dri but is better than none in 2d.  
usually only use this banshee for apps and not games.
