Did you buy the cd you were using? Or did you burn it yourself? If you
burned it, did you check your md5's before? Did they match? I had the
problem with cd's that won't boot, numerous times. Most times, its because
of a bad download.

Subject: [expert] Mandrake 7.2 upgrade problem

Hi all,
I have upgraded my Mandrake 7.1 to 7.2 today and have a few problems.
When booting from the cdrom to upgrade the system hung half way through the
boot sequence. So I rebooted into 7.1 and did the upgrade from there, all
seemed to go well but the system would not boot, so again I booted using my
old kernal and it worked. However, I am now in KDE2 and cannot even run the
file manager - I get the error - Konqueror - The Crash Handler saying:-
The application Konqueror crashed and caused the signal 11 (SIGSEGV)

Can any body help me please

Thanks Paul
