I solved it. I called my ISP and it seems they just started blocking port 25 to stop 
spammers from using their systems.  I wish they had sent my a message and save me a 
few hours trying to figure out what I screwed up.

If you run 'ifconfig'  does the loopback interface 'lo' show up?
