This probably isn't quite the right venue for this but I'm going to ask
anyway. I recently upgraded by 7.0 box so I could check out KDE2.
Everything is fine and happy until I try to run a second X session on a
different pty. Then when you return to KDE, its hosed. Everything is
still running but new windows only display the widgets inside, windows
opened prior to switching over don't redraw and most of them have large
chunks missing.

Now it could be something odd with the backing store perhaps the video
card, but Gnome doesn't have this problem so I am leary to blame it on a
hardware issue. I don't particularly have a need to run multiple X
sessions, however when the need arises it would be nice to not have to
kill sessions in order to switch back and forth.

Has anyone else seen this behavior? have a workaround?
