Start the install process
select expert mode
choose individual package selection
Uncheck everything
Open the lists and go through--the locked things may not be removed, and now
all you have to do is set "automatic dependencies" and pick exactly what you
want to use.-- konqueror implies some segments of KDE but you can use it
without all of them.
