Hello,

I'm having a strange problem with the Gimp and fonts. When I try to
use the text tool the font dialog box comes up and I can go through
selecting my font and whatnot and all is displayed well in the dialog. Then
for most fonts asking Gimp to draw that font gives me an error. Here are
some fonts I select to draw and the errors I get for them:

Lucida medium 14pt with antialiasing:
Font '-b&h-lucida-medium-r-normal-*-*-420-72-72-p-*-iso8859-2' not found

Lucida medium 14pt without antialiasing:
Font '-b&h-lucida-medium-r-normal-*-*-140-72-72-p-*-iso8859-2' not found

Lucida medium 14px with antialiasing:
Font '-b&h-lucida-medium-r-normal-*-42-*-*-*-p-*-iso8859-2' not found

Lucida medium 14px without antialiasing:
Works but looks very bad for larger sizes

Any idea what is going wrong here? It's a fairly standard 7.2 install
with XFree 4 and the only changes I've made are by running the Mandrake
Update. This happens on three 7.2 boxes I've installed in the last week
or so and I've never had this problem on any other system.

Other than this little problem I'm loving Mandrake. I actually get work
done instead of spending so much time setting things up. I've even put it
on my girlfriend's computer, and she's not particularly computer savvy but
getting along fine. Keep up the good work folks!
