Thanks, I'll go back and try that.  I failed to
mention the first time around though that I did try to
run lilo using some of the command line args to point
to /mnt/... but there was something else it couldn't
find and I decided to join a mailing list. :)

Anyone know if there is anything special added to the
bootloader configs when using Reiser FS.  My initial
thought was the problem was related to a bug updating
RFS partitions or at least booting one.
