I am using Mandrake 7.2 + a few updates on my system. Some time last year I downloaded Corel's Photopaint for Linux. I have just got around to installing it. I had a few problems, since the version I got was designed for Redhat, but was eventually able to get it in and going. So far as I can see, it appears that this install was responsible for a weird change to my menus. This is under KDE. I have checked Gnome, and there is no problem there. All of the program entries (ie. not sub-menus) now appear 4 times - rather than once. When I re-installed the menu package from the CD, the menus returned to normal - briefly. But then reverted to the problematic state. I have run the update-menus program a few times, and it doesn't seem to help. It does, though, give the following error: cp: /usr/share/gnome/apps/Apps/*: No such file or directory I have also updated to menu-2.1.5-42mdk. The file /etc/menu/menudrakeentry only has 1 entry for each. Can anyone give me any pointers please? Thankyou, Brian Schroeder. _________________________________________________________________________ Get Your Private, Free E-mail from MSN Hotmail at http://www.hotmail.com.
