I got a laptop IBM Thinkpad 770.
I don´t know if its very diferent than 760XD, but I had audio.
I used sndconfig and did choose:
crystal CS423X
with
port =0*530
irq =5
dma1 =1
dma2 = 0
mpu i/0 = *x330
mpu irq = 9
This work for me. I hope that work for you too.

I've got an IBM Thinkpad 760XD and I'm trying to get audio running on it.
From what I know about it, it's supplied from the MWave DSP processor.
Anyone ever have success getting one of these to work?
