This one last dependency is holding up the build of
Apache.
Downloaded all the Apache and perl files to a
directory ~/apache and as root executed 'rpm -Uvh
*.rpm'.
The error message is
        jdk is needed by ApacheJServ-1.1.2-5mdk
>From the Blackstone site downloaded
   jdk-1.2.2-RC4-linux-i386-glibc-2.1.2.sh
Then, per their instructions:
cd /usr/local
chmod +x ~/<above download>
~/...sh

Now I have /usr/local/jdk1.2.2.
There were no install error messages.

So is this a java or apache or mandrake issue?

Appreciate your pointers.

-Bill
