It depends on the hardware setup of your proxy. Some proxy servers act like
a firewall, passing all traffic between two separate NICs
(external/Internet, and internal/LAN). If your proxy is like this, then all
you can do is try to crack the proxy and give yourself permission to
do/view anything you want. Other proxies sit like any host on a network,
and your software is simply configured to ask the proxy to get you
information, rather than getting the info itself. If you can change your
proxy settings in the software, then it should be able to go out on the
Internet itself, and you will be able to do/view whatever you want.
