Well this is REALLY off topic...
but...
I typically run 3 - 4, sound cards off of one rack mounted WinME system.
Each card (SBLIVE's) are being used for both 4 channel in and out (drum roll
please...) simultaneously!
I don't know of any sound servers which go from Windows to Linux...
Linux to Linux is built in to KDE...
