Hi all, I discovered that I had neglected to supply a hostname for dhcp, which was causing my problem. I found the solution to my problem from the DHCP-mini-HOWTO. The solution involved the following edit: add the line DHCP_HOSTNAME="trigger" to /etc/sysconfig/network-scripts/ifcfg-eth0 and restart. Away it goes.
