Dear Todd and friends: My thanks to Todd Flinders for figuring this out. He was right on target. My rebuilt rpm, that is, rebuilt from source rpm, is in /usr/src/RPM/BUILD! But it isn't an rpm, but rather requires the usual ./configure, make, make install installation. Fabulous! Thanks again.
