-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 Hi, all. LM8.0 X 4.0.3-7mdk (the stock X that came on the CD) While trying to install wine-20010629-1mdk.i586.rpm, I get these errors: libXv.so.1 is needed by wine-20010629-1mdk libXxf86dga.so.1 is needed by wine-20010629-1mdk My system has /usr/X11R6/lib/libXv.a /usr/X11R6/lib/libXxf86dga.a In X 4.0.3-7mdk, these files are provided in XFree86-devel-4.0.3-7mdk. A search thru rpmfind.net says XFree86-libs-4.0.3-11.1mdk.i586.rpm has the necessary libraries. Will overwriting libs -7mdk with -11.1mdk introduce any subtle incompatabilities?
