the solution i used:
update glibc -> glibc-2.2.4-2mdk
            glibc-devel -> glibc-devel-2.2.4-2mdk
            locales -> locales-2.3.1.2-4mdk
            locales-en -> locales-en-2.3.1.2-4mdk
            locales-fr -> locales-fr-2.3.1.2-4mdk   #maybe you'll prefer 
locales-de ;-)
