Daniel....I've not read the newsgroups, so I don't know what 
problem you're talking about, but I run an Abit BX133-Raid 
motherboard with an onboard HPT370A rev4 and use an IBM 
ata100 drive.  I can't run a raid array but other than that 
there's no problems at all.
