Hallo all, I tried to configure cups, but unfortunatly it does not work the way it should. I have a 24dot matrix printer from NEC here and it worked somehow. First I used the printer tool from Mandrake and configured it. I could print a testpage, I think it was a ps page. When starting kups I was able to see the printer. I suppose that e.g. when printing from Netscape or StarOffice the results were in textmode or something and produced garbage. My first question is, how to make ALL printing to come out like the testpage, which was printed correctly? Then the true problem, once kups crashed and since then when opening kups there is no printer available anymore and it tells me that it cannot connect to cups and I should check the options. But the options didn't change. I cannot add any printer anymore even with a printer being configured with the Mandrake printer tool. The same problem when using the web admin tool, it WON'T create a printer. I did reinstall the packages, but I still cannot use kups, can someone help me PLZ? Thanx in advance Andreas
