Ok, to append that last message, I've narrowed it down to Microsoft photo editor that comes with office. I was able to print with the gimp (a windows port) and I was able to print a project from publisher. It seems like I'm going to have to go through and find out which programs can and can't print to samba. I would still like some insight as to why this is if anyone feels qualified to take a stab at an explanation?
