To all of you who helped on the problem I was having access my Windows vfat partition. Thankyou. It turns out that I had a problem with the Star Office filter that saved in MS Word format. It was the only time it would lock up and not let me save a new document. I could create documents in any other format without problem and I could edit and save Word documents. I just couldn't create them. Once again, thankyou for all the help. Joe
