am i the only one??? i'm getting insane!!! all i want is that mpegs,
avis, etc. are played with mplayer! is this too much?
when i edit a file type in kde and associate mplayer with these video
files, the changes are gone on the next reboot. the same thing happens
when i change it with the kde control center.
mhm, perhaps it will only work with apps listed in the menu? so i've
started up menudrake and added mplayer to the menu (multimedia/video)
and associated the files with this entry....gone....it's simply gone
after the next reboot! both the file association AND the menu entry!!!!!
like i've mentioned before, i'm getting
insaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaane! *gngng*

i've asked this befor on this peticular list. can anybody show me how to
do this?? there must be a way to make changes to the file associations?!
or is my system faulty?

i'm using 8.1 which i have updated from 8.0 to beta1, rc1 and final.

thanks a lot for ANY help!

Tobias
