When I opened it up all the volumes were set to zero and the devices not enabled. The first three or four from the left (volume, pcm, speaker/ perhaps line also) could not be enabled or the volume turned up. As soon as I enabled them or turned the volume up they reverted back to their zero - unenabled state. The other settings on the mixer worked normal however but without the main volume control working obviously nothing will come out. -- It said use windows 95 or better so I loaded linux!
