The java plugin works fine here. I have used it with the default mozilla
install and also with a mozilla tarball where everything is unpacked to
whatever dir you want and you run it from there. Is the plugin installed?
You need to be root to install the plugin. It installs to
/usr/lib/mozilla/plugins. I have a dir called java2/. One thing I had to
do was make a symlink: /usr/lib/mozilla/plugins/libjavaplugin_oji.so ->
java2/plugin/i386/ns600/libjavaplugin_oji.so*
